If there’s one thing motherhood has taught me, it’s that the right products can be total sanity savers. These are the items that turned out to be absolute staples in our home with both a toddler and a baby (and a type B, ADHD squirrel mama learning to embrace the chaos around me).. Every single one of these has exceeded my expectations and brought a level of convenience that I honestly didn’t think was possible.
20/10 would buy them all over again — and for the ones that run out, I’ve been restocking nonstop since day one. Consider this your shortcut to the real-deal mama-tested essentials.
🍼 CeraVe Diaper Rash Cream
CeraVe Diaper Rash Cream, Baby Healing Ointment (Amazon)
A diaper cream that actually works without all the junk. Ceramides + Vitamin E = game changer for sensitive skin. We’ve kept this in constant rotation since the first tube. This is the “baby” version of their adult Healing Ointment, which is hands down one of my favorite skin products of all time and something that I use religiously after learning about it and its benefits from a wound care nurse when I was working as an RN in the Critical Care unit.
✨ Magic Molecule Skin Cleanser
Hypochlorous Acid Spray (8 oz)
This spray is basically my household superhero — from eczema to random toddler rashes, it’s safe and gentle but mighty. I use it more times a day than I can count on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.
🍽️ Ingenuity Baby Base 2-in-1 Booster Seat
Self-storing tray = fewer lost pieces in toddlerland. We use this daily, and I swear it’s the one baby seat that has actually kept up with us. From home to hanging out at the farm with our Poppa and everywhere in between, this has been our saving grace after struggling to find something that was portable and compact, but also sturdy and secure enough to actually support baby brother while he was eating and keep him from trying to flop around and flip out of the seat like he had tried to do in all the others we had tried.
🤎 Blissful Diary Vegan Leather Play Mat
Waterproof, cushioned, and stylish enough to actually leave in the living room. Baby tumbles + toddler chaos = handled. The baby mat that literally dreams are made of—the one that I had been searching for since my 3 year old first started crawling and that I wish I had had back then.
🛁 Baby Bath Seat
Perfect for that in-between stage when they can sit but aren’t sturdy enough yet. Made bath time way less nerve-wracking.
🔗 Silicone Pacifier Clips (6 Pack)
No more paci hitting the ground 374 times a day. Soft, flexible, and chew-friendly for teething. Unlike every single other silicone paci clip that I have ever seen—instead of being “hard” or firm and the absolute furthest thing from flexible like the rest of them, these paci clips are super soft, perfectly pliable, and great quality, which in turn makes them the PERFECT option for teething babies.
👃 NozeBot Electric Nasal Aspirator
If you know, you know. This thing is hospital-grade and a lifesaver for those middle-of-the-night congestion battles. Worth every penny.
🚽 Frida Baby Fold-and-Go Potty Seat
Traveling? Visiting grandma? Restaurant bathrooms? This folds up, comes in its own bag, and is non-slip. Toddler potty wins everywhere we go. perfect size, perfectly compact, easy to clean and store, plus features two little handles (one on each side) that help keep both toddlers and adults from touching the germy toilet seats. Anyone who has ever been a part of the struggle that ensues when attempting to help a toddler potty while holding them up on a toilet seat that is trying to swallow them whole and trying to keep them from falling in, you KNOW the struggle and the chaos that it entails.
🦖 Potty Time Adventures Training Chart
The only thing that made potty training actually fun. It’s basically an advent calendar of prizes and my toddler ate it UP. This kid was (still is) so obsessed with getting his little wooden dino prizes and he insisted on taking every single one of them to the bathroom with him every time so he could tell them how “proud” he was of “them” too!
✂️ Momcozy Baby Nail File
Say goodbye to the fear of clipping baby nails. This rechargeable file is gentle, quiet, and foolproof — even at 2am.
🤱 Koala Babycare Carrier Wrap
As easy as throwing on a T-shirt but way more secure. Great for keeping baby close while chasing my toddler around. Life (+arm/back) saver. This is essentially the comfort of a wrap carrier, but with the convenience and more sturdy support of a more structured carrier.
🧼 Collapsible Dish Basin
I didn’t know I needed this until I had it. From camping to toy washing to an extra sink during chaos hour, it’s a space-saving workhorse. This has become known as our “bottle sink” by our entire household & to this day one of the most genius purchases I have EVER made.
💌 Final Thoughts
Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual, but these products are the next best thing. They’ve earned a permanent spot on my “never living without it again” list, and I truly hope they make your days a little smoother too.
